This year will be the 162nd Mississippi State Fair. The fair will start on Oct. 6 and end on Oct. 17 The fair is held on 105 acres and is full of everyone’s favorite fair foods, carnival rides, games, contest, concerts and more!

During the 2021 Mississippi State Fair, you can find even more excitement in the numerous livestock shows and musical entertainment. The longstanding tradition of the biscuit booth is still ongoing, where you can get a free homemade biscuit every night. Gates will open at 5 pm on Wednesday Oct. 6 with wristband night for $30 and free admission into the fair for all police officers, first responders, firefighters, health care workers, medical professions and active military. On Tuesday, Oct. 12, one of country music’s well-known artists, Riley Green will be performing on the Budweiser stage at 7:30 pm. A local artist Hannah Everhart will perform Friday, Oct. 8.

As we are still in a pandemic most things are returning to normal but there are still precautions that everyone should take. Hand sanitizing stations will be provided throughout the fairground. Highly touched areas and surfaces are supposed to be sanitized as well.
