I started my journey at Holmes in the fall of 2017. I tried but I wasn’t really ready for school so I took a break. During this break, I started working full time and I even got married. In 2019, I decided to come back to school and give my all. Since coming back I have won various awards, sung at numerous events and been inducted into Phi Theta Kappa.
School has been an awesome privilege for me and I’m so thankful for all I’ve encountered here. I’m thankful to Dr. Banks, Mr. Edwards, Mr. Yates and Mr. Trautman for helping me perfect my vocal craft. I’m thankful for the beautiful ladies in MOSAIC for always encouraging me. I’m thankful for Ms. Levy for being her true self and allowing me to do so. I’m most thankful for Mrs. Busby for giving me an outlet to write. There are so many people I could thank but I dare not want to miss anymore.
To all the teachers, faculty and fellow classmates, thank you for leading me to be the best me I could be. There will never be a place like Holmes! Being a voice major has been one of the best parts of my life.
