On Friday, Sept. 16, the library staff of McMorrough Library from Holmes Community College and its work-study students attended the Mississippi Science Fest in the Children’s Museum in Jackson.

The children learn about STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) from various representatives from different facilities and schools. The fest strives to promote careers focused on STEM by providing information to the attendees.

The staff of McMorrough Library and its work-study students showed the visitors the library’s 3D printers; the 3D printers were printing various things such as animals and objects. They also taught the visitors how to build a catapult out of Popsicle sticks, rubber bands and spoons.
