Holmes Community College’s annual career fair was held on Thursday, Feb. 24 at the Ridgeland Campus.

The fair was from 9-11 a.m. at the “Pat” McGowan Workforce Training center. Many companies and employers set up booths to recurit students in a wide range of careers.  Employers included the U.S. Marine Corps, police departments, fire departments, medical facilities, local small businesses, and even the Madison Chick-Fil-A.

Holmes Career Technical Counselor Jovanna Parker, who coordinated the event, stated “We have approximately 30 employers from a wide range of occupations that are coming, and some have even chosen to interview and hire on site. So, that is exciting.”

For the first time since 2019, the fair was held in-person as the Covid-19 pandemic had cancelled or went virtual over the past two years. The event is set to come to the Goodman campus in March followed by the Grenada campus in April.
