The much talked about stimulus checks have started hitting bank accounts. $1,200 relief checks have been sent out by the U.S. government to aid the American people with the financial burden that the Covid-19 pandemic has caused. The first wave of checks is sent to citizens who filed 2018-2019 tax returns and have given their deposit information to the IRS. Approximately 125 million Americans are expected to be aided with this one-time check. The majority of recipients of this check have been using it for essentials such as food, gas and bills. The IRS is planning to run a website that allows recipients to track when their check will arrive and another website for those who have not filed tax returns but are in a low income bracket that allows them to qualify for this financial relief.
