Holmes Community College held their annual Student Organization Fair at the Ridgeland Campus on Tuesday.
Students gathered in the courtyard area to learn more about ways to get involved on campus. The student organizations represented included Phi Theta Kappa, Holmes Publications, Intramural Sports, Holmes Soccer, OTA, Student Nursing Organization, STEM Club and The National Guard.
“We want our students to find a place where they can be comfortable or maybe even expand outside of their comfort zone, and learn a little bit about a different group of students or organizations that they can be involved in,” said Student Activities Coordinator Amanda Lindsey. “They can really connect, build on resumes, build on experiences and have some fellowship and fun along the way.”
Phi Theta Kappa Officer Garrett Viator was thankful to have the opportunity to spread awareness through the honors program’s booth.
“We want kids to see what we’re doing, see the prestigiousness of the Phi Theta Kappa organization and be inspired to strive academically,” Viator said.
