The Ridgeland Campus held their annual Career and Transfer Fair on Thursday at the D.P. “Pat” McGowan Workforce Training Center.

Students and guests were able explore new opportunties by meeting with hiring employers and university recruiters.

Holmes Career Technical Counselor Jovonna Parker coordinated the event and specifically noted it’s importance to career technical students.

“More universities are offering Bachelor of Applied Science degrees which means that technical degrees can used in their entirety to work towards a Bachelor’s degree,” said Parker. “So, that is an excellent option for those who are going into the workforce immediately but also want to gain a Bachelor’s degree.”

The Fair was held in Goodman on March 9 and is scheduled for Grenada on Tuesday.
