The holidays are known for being the time of the year that family members gather and celebrate. Most people are fortunate enough to have family to do this with. There are some people that are not this fortunate. It is important that we remember these individuals during this time and find it in our heart to make them feel not alone and special as well.

Holmes Community College on the Ridgeland Campus is offering quite a few opportunities to take part in this. The Rotaract Team is hosting an “Angel Tree” project for a senior citizen assisted living home in Madison. The tree is located at the entrance of Ridgeland Hall. There you will find ornament with an Angel’s name on it and their wish. Gifts are due in the library by Nov. 22. If you find yourself passing the tree and have time to stop, take the chance. It is important we give back to the community and remind people they are not alone during the holidays.
