Football season is a time when a community gathers. Students, faculty, alumni and many others crowd the stadium to watch the epic plays. This fall semester, the Holmes Community College football team has three wins under their belt and with any luck, more to come.
Thursday, Sept. 29, the players, cheer team and the band traveled to Madison to play. Since the renovations to their home field are ongoing, they have had to travel even for home games. This game was held at Madison Central High school against the Northeast Tigers.
After a long game, they came through with a win, 34 to 31. The buzzer rang and the crowd leaped up and cheered with excitement. A Bulldog win for the books.
