In the previous semester, the Ridgeland Campus’ Phi Theta Kappa officers and the Holmes Community College administrative council worked together to deliver intramural sports to the Goodman and Ridgeland campuses. Their purpose in this endeavor was to provide the college with more student activities and bring unity to the student body.

With the help of Intramural Sports Coordinator Sidney Kimble, the Ridgeland Campus held dodgeball, kickball and flag football tournaments in the fall semester. All of the events were wildly successful, and laid the foundation for more seasons of the campus’ newest student program.

Following the previous season’s success, Ridgeland’s Spring 2023 season will kick off the campus’ newest intramural sport: basketball. The two basketball events will be held in a 3-on-3 format. Teams will play in the Sunnybrook Children’s Home gymnasium on Jan. 26 and Feb. 9. Both events will take place from noon until 3 p.m. Sunnybrook Children’s Home is located at 222 Sunnybrook Rd, Ridgeland, MS 39157.

The staff encourages everyone to attend or play at the event and show our love for the students involved! In the words of Phi Theta Kappa Chapter President Garrett Viator, “Let’s help this season start off with a bang and show the student body some support.”
